Soul Spaces

Somewhere to place life; somewhere to pen possibilities, problems, praise...this is my reason to journal. Whether in the fibers of a spiral notebook or in digitized spaces on blank screens; they all are begging to be filled with scribbles about everything or nothing at all. Soul spaces is what they are called. Spaces to pour out what's been bubbling inside; where it can be viewed, dissected, digested. Places never void of the workings of God, in an insignificant life, made only significant by Him.

Carving out time for this soul space is in most times, difficult; at others, nearly impossible. The yearning always exists. Still time is taken, letters forming words and words forming thoughts. At times thoughts shape the words penned, at others, words shape thoughts formed. But they are all a form of existence, tangibility. Putting the formless out there to be shaped into something.

Tactility. Malleability.

Clay. Potter.

Could it be that each one of us are God's penned words in the making of His poetry? Each word becoming matter, clay. Each lump of clay being kneaded, coming together to make a body of something bigger and more beautiful than its individual parts. Maybe we are all words, making a community of sentences, creating poetry in God's soul space called Earth. The notebook of His Life.
